DPL-VT-1000 VEHICLE LOGGING/TRACKING SYSTEM
DPL-Surveillance-Equipment’s much anticipated “black box” was introduced on
September 8, 2003 at the National Safety Council’s 91st Annual Congress & Expo,
at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago – after extensive advance press
coverage from ABC News, CBS News, USA-Today, CNN, Fox News, Discovery Channel
and many others.
Sixteen years ago the "Black Box" once used only in airplane cockpits was
brought to the highway.
For example, the Company has been providing On-Board Computers for automotive
testing for GM Desert Proving Ground, GM Pontiac Division, GM North American
Truck Platforms, GM Milford Proving Grounds, Delphi, Nissan R&D, Jaguar
Cars/Ford Motor Company, Chrysler Corporation, BP Amoco Fuels Technology,
Singapore Technologies, Driver Testing Services Thailand, EG&G Structural
Kinematics, Michelin R&D, Vehicular Testing Services, Smithers Scientific
Institute, Southwest Research Institute and Kett Engineering.
The DPL-VT-1000 monitors vehicle speed, use of seatbelts, excessive g-force
maneuvers caused by hard cornering, hard braking, erratic driving,
“pedal-to-the-metal” throttle use and unsafe backing. Seatbelt monitoring and
unsafe backing require a hard-wire connection to the vehicle, which should be
made by a qualified technician.
Also, for more than a decade the Company has provided the most advanced and
effective tools for improving safe driving and reducing operating costs in
thousands of Emergency Vehicles (ambulances, fire, police, etc) throughout North
America – where seconds can make the difference between life and death.
Because the DPL-VT-1000 has been so effective in Emergency
Vehicles, numerous users have requested that the Company adapt its technology
for another high risk group – teenager drivers.
Today, the Company has adapted its highly successful technology into the
DPL-VT-1000, to monitor and improve teen driving. It is like being able
to sit next to your driver, every second they drive. For the first time, you
have control over how your teen is driving, even when you are not there! |
